Michelle Duff-McCracken R.M.

I am from Kitchener-Waterloo and have been active in this community doing volunteer work related to midwifery as a midwifery client representative. I have helped establish our own Kitchener Downtown Community Health Centre, and working on many breastfeeding and child friendly initiatives within the KW area. Additionally, I worked for 10 years in Home Care where I had the opportunity to work closely with people at different life stages. I have personally enjoyed midwifery care for both of my own children's deliveries.

In 1996, I completed a joint-honours degree in Psychology and Anthropology. Also, I completed a Health Science degree in midwifery in 2004 and have been practicing midwifery in Kitchener-Waterloo since.

I am involved in committees at the hospital, including being current Head Midwife at Grand River Hospital. I enjoy working with women and families through the exciting journey of pregnancy, birth and the welcoming of new family members.
